Dear Cramond Parents & Carers.
As we break for the Christmas Holidays I want to wish you and your extended family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Despite the restrictions, I hope you all have fun filled festive period and enjoy the opportunity to rest/recharge after an incredible 10+ months.
You will be receiving information from CEC this afternoon about next term. With the extended school holidays until 11th January followed by a week of home learning to the 18th, you may be looking for school provision on either key worker or vulnerable pupil grounds.
Please see the attached flow chart to help you understand eligbility for keyworker childcare places at Cramond 6th -8th January and thereafter the week of 11th January.
Please use the link here to apply for a Keyworker pupil place.
Provision will be confirmed by school staff on the 5th January 2021.
The deadline to complete the form is 11.45 p.m. on 3rd January 2021.
For clarification on
keyworker please see information from Scottish Government HERE
All school staff and school-based FM staff are considered by City of Edinburgh Council to be Category 1 and 2 Key Workers. Therefore any staff with children in a City of Edinburgh Council establishment may apply for childcare at their own child’s school, if they meet the criteria on the flowchart.
Cramond staff will then
be in touch with families of vulnerable or priority pupils on the 5th January.
We will use our knowledge of families and the Scottish Government guidance HERE
to inform offers made. If you feel you would require a place based on your
family circumstances as per the Government guidance and/or your child being
more vulnerable, please email myself or Miss Anna Hughes directly.
We will respond with offers of any places on 5th January 2021.

I know how anxious many of you will be. Please be assured that we are in a strong place to support each other and get through this together.
Please stay connected with friends and families. Keep talking and use the many partner agencies who can assist, lean on each other and do not hesitate to get in touch if we as a school can assist.
With love and best wishes.
2021 is going to be a great year – it can only be an improvement!
