In recent weeks the children of Primary 4 have really delved into the story of the Famous Five. They have produced some fabulous art work of large scale landscapes and treasure chests, as well as building some great models of Kirrin Cottage out of lego. They have also produced some wonderful writing, describing the character George and what it might have been like to be in the rowing boat leaving Kirrin Island during the storm. However, I think for the majority of the children their favourite lesson so far has been making their very own jam tarts. They worked really well in teams of three to make and roll their pastry, and then carefully insert the fillings of jam and fruit. The end results were delicious and I was so impressed by how well they worked together to achieve their goal.
Well done P4’s!
