Fantastic Mr Fox – Outdoor Learning (P4)

As part of our Woodland Creatures topic, the children used their senses to imagine what it would be like to be Fantastic Mr Fox. They used their bare feet (pretending to be Mr Fox) to walk over different surfaces. We discussed which surfaces would be best for sneaking up to Boggis’ chicken farm on, and they all agreed that grass would be best, as it was the softest and therefore made the least amount of noise. The children also thought of some fabulous adjectives to describe how the different materials felt under foot, describing the leaves as crunchy and crisp, and the grass as smooth and spongy. It was nice to be able to take our learning outside and enjoy the last of summer!

Well done P4’s!
