P4 took part in the “Fish in the Classroom” project run by Forth Fisheries from January to February this year. We looked after some trout eggs until they hatched and grew into small fish able to live in the river Almond. We released our fish into the wild on Friday 24th February and the Edinburgh Evening News was there to document the historic occasion! We recently found out that we made it into the paper – here’s the evidence!
Here’s a few more shots of our lovely walk on Friday 24th. Thank you so much to all parents and carers who came to support us.
We’re really proud of P4 and all the fantastic learning that took place around our fishy friends, as well as how responsible and caring the children were.
