P7 represent Cramond Primary School at Parliament

On December 20th, 2016, 6 lucky P7 pupils attended the Scottish parliament as part of an event to raise awareness about the Bottle Deposit Return System. The “Have You Got the Bottle?” campaign invited us along to share the our opinions on the importance of plastic bottle recycling.

The P7T pupils learnt about how the system would work, helped make a giant jellyfish out of plastic bottles and also wrote letters to MSPs in class, persuading them that the deposit return system is a good idea for Scotland. We met Roseanna Cunningham, who is the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, and even tried to convince her it was a good idea. Hopefully it works! She re-tweeted a photo with us all, so that’s a good sign.
