Waddell Weekly Term 2 Week 8

Dear Nursery Families,

It’s all go at Cramond. We are eating and sleeping Nativity songs in preparation for our moment on stage. The children rehearsed this week on the new stage in the new hall with the new lights on too! I have to tell you that they are adorable. The new hall provides so much more space and we were very impressed with the new audio responsive lights. The children will be performing to the older classes next week before you come along. In this way we hope that all siblings get to see their little brothers and sisters and the nursery children will have a chance to get rid of their nerves before the big day on Thursday. Let’s be honest and admit it also gives us a chance to see exactly how long it will take to change into our costumes etc.

We are also very lucky to have a nursery mummy who is happy to come in and talk to the children about how the Muslim faith celebrate Christmas and the Muslim interpretation of the Christmas story. We love the fact that we have such a diverse group of children and beliefs and appreciate the help to celebrate this diversity in a way that is much more personal to our children and families. We welcome any parents who would like to come in to the nursery and share their culture at nursery. Please do talk to your child’s key worker if you would like to come in.

You will also have handed in your slips already for any nursery bags you would like to purchase. The ‘enterprising elves’ were very busy creating the design. We are delighted with the way they turned out and hope you are too. Many thanks to another fine member of our nursery community for making this happen, you know who you are!

Also, a quick reminder to please let us know if your child is off sick. It is really important that we take safeguarding measures to ensure infection is not passed on in nursery. We can only do this if we know the details of absence due to sickness or infection. Thank you for your help in this.

The Scottish Cup is coming to Cramond on Wednesday! There will be an assembly run by the winning team to celebrate this. If you would like to know more, then please ask.
