World Book Day Thursday 2nd March

World Book day is on the 2nd of March, this is a great opportunity to create a buzz of excitement around reading.

At school we  will launch the week with a reading assembly on Monday the 27th of February.

We would ask that pupils dress up as character or bring props with them on Thursday the 2nd of March. Staff will also be dressing up. We will show off our costumes and guess the book they are from.

We will also be hosting a book swap on Friday the 3rd. Each class will be invited along to the dining hall to swap their book or books for books that other children have brought in.

Each class will have a book focus for the week and all their work will be based around the chosen title.

P6S will be running book reading tents and playing audio books during lunch breaks for the pupils to enjoy Monday through to Thursday.
